New album of the Yekaterinburg-based Ritual / Dark / Folk Ambient project Sol Mortuus, like its predecessor "Extinction", is also based on the tales of the Ural people. Compared to "Extinction" the album has more measured, slow and winter mood. Lots of acoustic instruments were used for this recording. Dense mass of cello drones and viscous groan of throat singing make room to the bright flashes of gusli chords, almost electrical vibrations of mouth harp (vargan) and howls of the overtone flute kaluka. Perfect soundtrack for a severe night in a hut lost somewhere in the woods of the Urals.

Новый альбом екатеринбурского Ritual / Dark / Folk Ambient проекта Sol Mortuus, как и предыдущий диск "Extinction", основан на древних сказаниях уральского народа. По сравнению с "Extinction", альбом получился ещё более размеренным, медленным и зимним по духу. При записи материала было использовано множество акустических инструментов. Густая масса виолончельного дрона и тягучий хрип горлового пения сменяются яркими сполохоми игры на гуслях, почти электрическими вибрациями варгана и завываниями обертоновой флейты калюки. Прекрасный саундтрек для лютой зимней ночёвки в далёкой избушке, потерянной где-то в уральских лесах.
